The site is frequently used for test dives, instruction of new divers and first-time divers on their own. This is mainly due to the site's accessibility: a small space to park, plenty of space for luggage on the granite platform around the statue, and a platform at the water's edge to put on the diving equipment. The dive site is also sheltered and in relatively shallow water, which makes it particularly suitable for beginners.
