Summer camp for children

Ocean Divers invites you to summer camp for children! A week of diving with professional and committed diving instructors who look forward to jumping into the water with the children. Give your child the opportunity to experience the joy of diving, as well as giving them some practical skills that can benefit them in many other aspects of life.

In addition to this, the summer camp will also focus on marine life in Denmark and the pollution that is taking place right now and how best to protect the sea, so that we can educate the sea's new guardians and protectors, since we believe the sea is the most important resource we have!

Connect your children closer to nature and the sea with us and give them a Junior Open Water Diving Certificate!

The course is aimed at those who either want a certificate or for children who have taken a diving course abroad and want to dive in Denmark. We focus on letting the children learn through playing in the water and have put a lot of extra time into the course.

The course is only for children between the ages of 10 and 17, so everyone is basically on the same footing throughout the course.

New friends, an unforgettable experience and an education they can use for the rest of their lives.

Give your child the opportunity to learn together with other children around the same age and strengthen their sense of community and togetherness, as diving is a special team sport. In addition to this, as mentioned, taking a diving certificate is a very practical experience that will strengthen the children's practical skills, their senses and understanding of safety.

NB: In order to participate in this course, prior registration and an interview with both parents and children are required, so that together we can assess whether there is the necessary understanding and robustness in children and parents to participate in this activity. Contact us to set a date for this interview as soon as possible, so we are sure there is room for you. There is no room for participation without this interview.

Practical info

One ​​week summer camp with 5 days of diving. Ourfirst team starts on Monday 1 July 2024, & second class starts on 29 July 2024 All theory will take place in our store at Peter Bangsvej 18, 2000 Frederiksberg. The diving will take place at home at the coolest and safest diving sites we have in the Copenhagen area and North Zealand, so the children get to try something different. Upon completion of the course, the child will be a certified RAID Junior Open Water Scuba Diver certified to a depth of 12 meters. The course will run from Monday to Friday. The times are usually from 9.00 - 16.00, where you as parents can collect your children from our store in Frederiksberg

NOTE!

Your child must be able to swim min. 200 meters plus tread water for 10 min.
Have reasonable health and a correctly completed health declaration.

Monday 01/07-24

• At 09.00 - 09.30: Welcome to children and parents
• At 09.30 - 11.30: Theory
• At 11.30 - 12.30: Packing gear + we leave for Amager Strand
• At 12.30 - 1.30pm: Lunch on the beach
• At 13.30 - 15.00: Diving and skills in shallow water
• At 16.00 - 16.00: We drive to Ocean Dive + Cleanup + Debriefing

Tuesday 02/07-24

• At 09.00 - 10.30: Theory
• At 10.30 - 11.00: Packing gear + we drive off towards Amager Strand
• At 11:30 - 13:00: Diving and skills in shallow water
• At 13.00 - 14.00: Lunch
