Gl. Højerup church is absolutely fantastic on a beautiful sunny day after a calm period. The white color of the chalk bottom reflects the light and gives the water an incredible glow. It forms a nice contrast to the dark, red seaweed plants. The bottom is very hilly and the formations rise 1-1.5 meters and form elongated valley depressions, where there is often sand at the bottom. It's a dive that requires a bit of an investment in thigh muscles, as you have to descend a fairly steep staircase and then walk down a slope to get to the water. However, it is easy to walk over the rocks, and you don't have to swim far before you have a little water over your head.
