As regular sport divers, planned decompression is not something we are taught to do. With a maximum depth of 45m/150ft, this course is your first step beyond the limits of standard sport diving. Your TDI instructor will be able to provide you with valuable information and skills.
Our topics include:
- Equipment Configuration
- Equipment requirements
- Techniques for decompression diving
- Different breathing gases for use in decompression
- Correct handling of gas quantity
- Correct solution of any problems
- Correct use of deco buoy
TDI's Decompression Procedures course can be combined with TDI's advanced nitrox and is the foundation for all technical diving. After completing these two courses and with additional experience, you have laid the foundation to progress in technical diving. Some of the materials you will use are TDI's manual for decompression diving, US Navy and Buhlmann decompression tables (made of plastic for use underwater)
