Description
Regulator Built to use Nitrox above 40% oxygen
All Apeks' regulators can use Nitrox up to 40% oxygen, but if you need something a little stronger, you must upgrade to one of Apeks' Nitrox regulators. In the package you get an Apeks DST first stage and a Nitrox XTX 50 second stage.
Rotating diaphragm first stage
The DST first stage from Apeks is sealed against water, and adapts to your depth using a membrane that transfers the pressure to the membrane that controls the air pressure. Apeks DST can also rotate to make hoses lie more comfortably during the dive. This first stage uses an overbalanced diaphragm design that provides greater flow at deeper depths than traditional balanced models. The result is good and easy breathing regardless of how deep you dive.
DST first stage has 4 medium pressure outlets in size 3/8 UNF and 2 high pressure outlets in size 7/16 UNF
Good second step that can be adapted to your needs
Apeks XTX 50 nitrox model comes in an easily recognizable green color so as not to be confused during the dive.
Apeks XTX 50 is a second step built on the respected XTX series, adding features such as right/west orientation options, different air outlets and integrated venturi control.
Apeks' XTX 50 front is built in two separate pieces to protect the regulator's internal mechanisms. The purge button is made of solid plastic and is easy to use. The XTX 50 can be upgraded with a swivel joint in the hose connector for greater freedom with the positioning of the regulator during the dive.
Apeks' XTX 50 comes standard with two different air outlets, a short set and a long set, each of which offers different advantages. With the short air outlets, you have a compact regulator that is ideal for use as an octopus or a light primary air source. With the long air outlets, more bubbles are removed from your immediate field of vision, providing comfort and good opportunities to use underwater photography.
